Bedon Baptist Church was first known  as Horse Shoe Church. Mr. Richard Bedon donated 80 acres of land to the Horse Shoe Church. The church name was changed to Bedon Baptist Church in 1870. The first church was a log cabin, the third building was built in 1901 and other buildings were used until the current church building was built in 1975 and is still used today. There have been over 20 pastors that have served at Bedon Baptist Church, although many pastors have come and gone there still remains many families that have worshiped at Bedon Baptist for generations.
